Barbara Sfraga, Facilitator

Songwriter, vocalist, arranger, lyricist and clinician, Barbara performs regularly in clubs in Manhattan. She's currently touring to support her Naxos Jazz recording, "Oh, What A Thrill", and will be recording her followup CD in 2002. Ms. Sfraga is Founder/President of SOUND IDEAS MUSIC, a jazz publicity and management firm, and Founder/Director of IN CONCERT WITH OUR COMMUNITY, an organization which raises funds for children’s interests. Barbara gives clinics in Business of Music, Vocal Technique and Improvisation, and is the recipient of a Meet The Composers grant. She has a BA from University of Bridgeport.

Golda Solomon, Facilitator

Communications specialist, professor, private consultant, program developer, poet, performer and published author, Golda is Project Director for PO’JAZZ, an innovative, collaborative series that partners the voice of poets to the beat of live jazz and features established and emerging poets and musicians. In 2001, PO’JAZZ was host to the 2002 U.S. Poet Laureate, Billy Collins. She has two CDs, Takin' It To The Hollow and First Set, companion to her collection of poetry, Flatbush Cowgirl. Golda has a BA and an MA from Brooklyn College.

Teacher, writer, and trainer, Kathleen conducts workshops in communication and conflict resolution in schools and organizations. She holds an M.S. from Bank Street College of Education and an Ed.M. from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ms. Cochrane is the author of nationally distributed curricula, and publishes articles and essays. |
