Medicine Woman of Jazz Poet Golda Solomon to Moderate Clinic/Panel at 2007 IAJE Conference
NEW YORK, NY - New York jazz poet, Golda Solomon, has been invited to moderate and present a clinic/panel at the 34th Annual Conference of The International Association for Jazz Education, January 10-13, 2007.
The conference is held jointly at The New York Hilton (Avenue of the Americas between 53rd and 54th Sts.) and the Sheraton Hotel, 7th Ave and W. 53rd St.
On Thursday Jan.11, from 10:00-11:00 AM, in The Sheraton's Central Park Suite, 2nd Floor, Prof. Golda Solomon will moderate "Po'People-Po'Jazz, Poetry In Partnership With Jazz: Past and Present."
Distinguished panelists are: Mike Canterino, owner of the legendary Half Note Jazz Club, Bill Milkowski, jazz journalist and historian, John Sinclair, poet, Michael TA Thompson, producer, and Saco Yasuma, alto sax.
This panel will be historically retrospective and "in the now" of this genre and audience interactive. A demonstration of jazz partnering with poetry will be included.
